F.G Studio's Award-Winning Design for Skyview Mansion Sales Center

The Skyview Mansion Sales Center is situated in Lumu, a gem in the center of old Suzhou. The project was inspired by the rich cultural context of the area, including the millennia-old Qimen Street and the tomb of Lu Zhi, a prime minister of the Tang Dynasty. F.G Studio has taken these traditional elements and given them a modern interpretation, creating a space that is both upscale and forward-looking.

The design of the sales center is unique in its incorporation of local elements. Drawing inspiration from Jiangnan water towns, local classical gardens, and imperial brick kilns, the space is characterized by "simplicity, elegance, and eternity". It is a dynamic space that integrates low-profile luxury, purity, and artistry, reflecting the local humanistic spirit.

The realization of the design involved innovative use of materials and lighting. For instance, an artistic lighting fixture above the property models area mimics the layering of local traditional gray-tile eaves, creating a mist-like ethereal visual effect. The golden wall lamp, with its water ripples-like form, adds a calming atmosphere to the space while revealing a dynamic aesthetic.

The project, which spans an area of 458 square meters, was completed within a short timeframe, from May to August 2021. Despite the challenges of showcasing local traditional culture through modern simplistic design languages, F.G Studio managed to create a quality space that caters to local culture, references, and needs and fits into modern lifestyle.

The Skyview Mansion Sales Center has been recognized for its design excellence, winning the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2022. This prestigious accolade is awarded to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
